I like that little alarms went off in your head when she was talking about doing research on the internet about it. That happens a lot in my line of work too, although in our case the worst thing you can hear is "my breeder says..." They are about the wost source for information about animals in my opinion. I like the whole cranberry juice method. From examples I have seen with my unprofessional eye, it seems to work if you catch it at the very first signs of urinary problems (the before docotor stage.) But then if it gets any worse, or you ignore the first little problems it won't work anymore.
